Our young family moved to Stanwood in 1991. Recognizing the great need for high quality child care, Home Sweet Home Daycare was born.

It was important for me to create an environment that I had been searching for as a working Mom for my own children. I’ve never looked back!

I have devoted my life to caring and educating children and their families. My team shares my passion and vision! We are early childhood educators, and we are striving for excellence for kid’s sake everyday!

Opening our new program, Imagine That! ELC has been a decade long dream of mine. We are excited to share this wonderful program with our community!

Play on!

Hello! I am Teacher Beka! I have deep roots in N. Snohomish County and lived in Stanwood since 2005.

I have 2 awesome children! We like to camp, hike, bike, explore, travel, adventure and all the fun things! Adventure is a family value!

I serve as a girl scout leader and public advocate for children’s sake.

I have been an early educator for 20 years already and my what fun it’s been! I hold an associates degree in General Studies and Early Childhood Education, as well as having over 200 hours in Professional Development and am still growing my brain at WGU.

I have educated students and families in Public Sector State Funded Preschool, Cooperative Community Preschool, and the Private Sector School. I am deeply passionate about the value of high quality, nurturing, developmentally appropriate early childhood (birth-8yo) education. Sixty years of solid research supports the short term investment and long term payoff of high quality early education. Early Ed is BIG business!

Imagine That has given me the opportunity to bridge my value for our natural world with my love for educating our next generation of world leaders and the earth’s ambassadors! It is an honor and delight to serve my community!

Hello, I’m Teacher Jenn!

My husband and I moved to Stanwood area in 2009 and We absolutely love it here. We have 3 Children, our eldest is married but still local, and the younger two are my adventure buddies. I love finding hidden gems, rock hounding, trying new food spots, forest adventures, time along the river, gardening, and really anything to do with being outside.

Working in Early childhood has always been a passion of mine and I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. I started as a Mommy helper in elementary school, eventually becoming a nanny, working for a few different school districts, at a co-op preschool and now with Imagine That!

I’ve been with Beka and Kim since the early days of Imagine That, and I’m eager to return after a short break to raise my youngest. To serve the families in our community by sharing my love for play-based learning while being immersed in nature. It’s such a joy to create a magical and imaginative space for children to explore the world around them.

Hello! My name is Bailey Jones and I am so excited to be joining the Imagine That Community School team!

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and child development from Western, and then spent five years teaching preschool at a private school on Mercer Island before I chose to stay home and take care of my own kids when my oldest son was born!

When I’m not at school, I’m spending time with my own kiddos, hiking, skiing, exploring and traveling. I have three kids of my own, Cooper (8), Oliver (7) and Quinn (4). All three of them were lucky enough to spend their preschool years with Beka, and it has been the most amazing and formative experience for them and for our family.

I cannot wait to get to know everyone, and I’m so very grateful and excited to be able to work with all of you and your wonderful children/families!

Hi! I am Teacher Shawnalee (Shawna is fine too)!

I’m thrilled to be part of the fun crew at Imagine That! My husband and I have two kids who are in 1st grade and 5th grade. My little guy was at Imagine That for 3 years and we loved it! Our family enjoys adventures. We love to travel, road trips, hikes, and exploring beaches near home, and low tide are favorites of ours.

I grew up in Marysville and working with kiddos has always felt right to me. I have 20+ years of experience working with children in childcare, teaching early childhood (indoors and out) and elementary education.

We were blessed to come across Tinkergarten when my daughter was just a toddler! For the next 5 years I spent several hours a week outside, guiding parents and explorers ages 1yo-8yo. It was truly a privilege to work with so many families in the community, supporting parents and children in nature; exploring, pretending, creating, problem-solving, fostering empathy for nature, for others, and much more! There’s nothing that compares to fresh air, the sound of the wind in the trees, and a little dirt under the fingernails!

I’m excited to bring these experiences to class and share my love for play-based learning and to spread the joy that nature has to offer. I’m looking forward to getting to know your child(ren) and their loved ones. It’ll be a year of invaluable growth and we are all the lucky ones that get to witness it first hand.

Hello! I’m Teacher Corynne!

I am a wife, mother, and passionate educator. My family of four is very active, and we spend much of our time outdoors—fishing, shrimping, hunting, biking, camping, hiking, exploring the beach, and enjoying the mountains and snowboarding.

I hold dual bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education, along with a minor in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Education Leadership from Western Washington University. I have nine years of experience teaching in public schools, where I have taught Kindergarten through 4th grade, as well as K–5 special education. Throughout my career, I have also had the opportunity to serve in educational leadership roles and have recently begun my journey into school administration.

My teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in the power of relationships. I believe every child deserves to feel valued, trusted, supported, and like an important part of their learning community. I strive to create learning environments where children feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, take risks, and discover who they are as learners.

I also believe deeply in the power of outdoor learning and hands-on exploration. These experiences build curiosity, problem-solving skills, confidence, and resilience, while encouraging children to wonder, investigate, and learn through real-world discovery.

I am so excited to continue to nurture a genuine desire to learn in young minds and help each child build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. My hope is that all children leave my classroom not only with new knowledge and skills, but with a sense of curiosity, confidence, independence, and excitement about discovering what comes next.

Hi I’m Katie! After a 3 year rest from public school teaching, I am so happy to be back working with my favorite age of young learners at Imagine That!

I’ve been married for 24 years to my college sweetheart, Bret and we have 3 kids: Ella (21), who is a cosmetologist at Jack Plum’s in Stanwood, Miles (17), in his Junior year at Everett High School and Lena (12), who is starting middle school at Port Susan this year! Our dog, Odie, is a precocious Goldendoodle who reminds me daily what it’s like having young children at home.

As a former STEAM specialist, my love for all things hands-on and messy is a basis for my teaching style. Finding the spark in your student is what keeps me engaged and excited for the work we will do.

Hello! My name is Haley, and I am so thrilled to join the preschool team at Imagine That! and meet the amazing kids and families in the community. A little bit about me is that I live in Bellingham, where I moved five years ago to study at Western Washington University, where I graduated with a degree in early childhood education in 2025. My favorite thing about working with children is to watch and assist them in developing their independence and confidence–it always warms my heart to see them so proud of themselves when they are capable of doing things on their own! I love to play and get silly, and I learn so much from every student I teach. In my time off, I like to spend time outside, do arts and crafts, and be with friends and my cat, Twiggy.

Hi! My name is Juliana, and I’m so excited to be joining the preschool team as a Teacher Assistant! 🌸 I’m a proud mama to my almost 3-year-old son, Kingston, who will also be attending preschool here. I’m especially excited to be able to experience this fun new chapter alongside him!

I’ve always loved working with children and creating a fun, encouraging environment where they can learn, grow, and be themselves. I also have a background in dance, which has given me lots of experience working with little ones and making learning fun through movement and creativity. 💃🏼✨

When I’m not at school, you can usually find me spending time with Kingston, my family, or our little zoo at home—four cats and three geckos! 🐱🦎 I love being outdoors, being creative, making memories, and finding the fun in the little things.

I’m so excited to get to know each of your little ones, make lots of memories, and be part of such a special time in their lives! 💕
